Things To Do
Like so many wanting to leave the northern cold of winter behind and enjoy the tropical warmth of the Baja, gentle gray whales make their 6,000 mile journey from the chill of the Bering Sea down to the sun drenched Sea of Cortez. Spending most of their lives in movement from one location to another, the gray whale chooses the shallow waters and lagoons around the Baja for giving birth. You will inevitably see breaching whales with their calves throughout January to March. This is the peak time to join one of the many local tour companies on a memorable whale-watching excursion. The immense power guised under grace and beauty is an experience you won't want to miss.
